WAXING

With more than 10 years experience I perform this service with grace, ease and professionalism. I use strips for body and hot wax for sensitive parts (bikini, underarms, face)

All products (Italian and Australian) are of high quality and hypoallergenic. I use fingers and spatula for sensitive areas and have the right technique and knowledge how to depilate. I apply azulene cream to the body as well as the brazilian/bikini area; and aloe vera gel on the brazilian/bikini area right after waxing procedure. Azulene cream calms down redness, prevents skin from irritation and ingrown hair. Aloe vera gel protects skin from infection.

How to prepare BEFORE WAXING PROCEDURE:

Hair should be at least the size of the corn grain or half an inch. YOU MUST WAIT 10 to 14 DAYS AFTER SHAVING, BEFORE WAXING.
No Tanning at least a week before and a week after waxing procedure.
Some clients take pain relievers 30 minutes before their waxing procedure and some of them apply at the same time a numbing gel or cream (you can buy it in a pharmacy or ask your doctor for a prescription). Make sure you are not allergic to the cream or gel.
I also recommend to exfoliate your skin with sea salt scrub a day before waxing to hydrate your skin and makes your hair softer.
Ingrown hair occurs when hair is cut or broken below the skin surface and grows sideways into the hair follicle instead of outward. This results in painful red bumps that usually turn into pustules.
Wash the area thoroughly before coming for the procedure, or wipe the area with clean water or clean wiping pads before the procedure. Cleaning the area will help prevent your skin from irritations.
Note: If you have been shaving and decided to wax, expect hair breakage during waxing. It takes series of waxing to normalize the hair growth and thinning of hair. Also, your skin will be very sensitive to waxing after shaving since the skin gets tender from exfoliating often when shaved and that the hair gets very coarse.
Time frame in between waxing is every 4 to 5 weeks. Hair starts to grow back in 2 to 3 weeks after waxing hair removal, depending on the type of hair you have.
Ingrown hairs are normal reaction to waxing, shaving and cream hair removal and it is not caused by the kind of wax, cream or razor blade being used. But the curlier the hair, the higher the risk.

Putting powder on the area right after waxing doesn't prevent ingrown hair. Powder can clog the pores. To prevent getting ingrown hairs please take care of your skin before and after hair removal treatment as suggested.
Exfoliate your skin 3 days after your waxing procedure preferably with sea salt scrub or gentle exfoliants every other day to remove build up dead skin cells than can clog the pores and trapped hairs under skin causing it to become ingrown. Exfoliating pads, gloves, and mild scrubs work well with sea salt scrubs. Look for cleansers that contain Salicylic Acid. It is advised not to exfoliate everyday to prevent dryness that causes sensitivity to your skin, otherwise, hydrate your skin when doing so.

Keep your skin moist and soft. Start using a moisturizer every day. This will not only keep your skin soft but will soften up the growing hair. Powder is advisable only the day after bikini/Brazilian waxing procedure since putting powder right after waxing can clog the pores. It takes hours to close the pores and heal the sensitivity of the skin after waxing procedure.
